Have you ever seen a T-Rex skull, T-Rex footprint and T-Rex skeletal foot in person? NO? Then come out out to the DINOSAUR presentation at The 50th Annual Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Show.This is a presentation followed by a Fossil Dig. Each child digs for 3 specimens to take home. The presentation is highly participatory allowing numerous children to assist in the program.
Shows are held Saturday and Sunday at 12, 2 and 4.
The children'sā favorite finds are fossil shark teeth, ammonites and a variety of minerals and gems.
The presentation is a brief overview of how the earth formed, what developments occurred on the earth to allow for the dinosaurs to populate the planet and the catastrophic event that caused the relatively sudden death of most life on earth including sea life, land animals and plant life. The numerous fossil exhibits include a T-Rex skull, T-Rex footprint and T-Rex skeletal foot.
Additional exhibits include a Hadrosaur egg, Triceratops brow horns, Megalodon shark tooth and a T-Rex tooth stuck in a huge Hadrosaur femur.
This family friendly event will have dealers with rock specimens, jewelry, art and more to add to your collections. Displays and demonstrations will help you learn about lapidary art and geology!

SCOUT GEOLOGY INFORMATION SESSIONS - To help get scouts started on their geology merit badges, geology information sessions will be provided. Geology 101 is daily at 1 and 3 pm.

The Clear Lake Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show is held each year at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas, southeast of the Houston Metro area, 2.5 miles east of Beltway 8.
