Founded by chef and two-time MasterChef competitor Amanda Saab, Dinner with Your Muslim Neighbor is a community-building initiative designed to foster understanding, reduce prejudice, and bring people together across faiths, cultures, and life experiences. By inviting residents of all backgrounds to share a meal with their Muslim neighbors, the program encourages honest dialogue, curiosity, and connection.
Chef Amanda approached the City of Dearborn to co-present Dinner With Your Muslim Neighbor on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The event will take place at the Lincoln Ballroom of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center at 6:00 PM, featuring a dinner catered by local restaurants. Muslim and non-Muslim neighbors will be seated together with conversation prompts to promote deeper curiosities and conversation.
Pre-registration for this free event is REQUIRED. If you are interested in attending this event, you must submit an RSVP by no later than Friday, January 2, 2026 at forms.gle/NPf2jZt2mQastEneA
Additionally, due to limited seating, not all those who register will be guaranteed a seat. A confirmation email will be sent by no later than Thursday, January 8 to confirm your seat.
