Ja Rule and Ashanti. Nelly and Kelly Rowland. Fabolous and Tamia. Jay-Z and Mary J. Nate Dogg on everything. Timbaland producing hits that felt like a whole mood. that late 90s to early 2000s sweet spot when hip hop and R&B were so locked in together they were basically the same genre.
we’re bringing all of it to the patio for a full hip hop soul dinner party. DJs running nothing but that era all night — the rap verses, the R&B hooks, the beats that still hit different 20 years later.
