THE PLOT

The culinary world is on fire with the white hot new reality show "Kitchen Masters". It's pitting top restaurant owner's against one another for a chance at a huge cash prize, and an international celebrity cookbook tour. Three chefs compete in this cutthroat competition, sabotaging each other at every turn. Dull knives are the least of these chef's worries! She's a well-known food blogger, known for her tough critiques of upcoming restaurants, turned judge, in this culinary competition. He's a world famous chef trying to win her heart while competing for the culinary prize of a lifetime. This proves to be a recipe for disaster when one of the other members of the cast learns of their forbidden love… Our super sleuth Detective Gunn (along with your help) is left to sort out the details in this sordid affair, in "A Dinner To Die For!"

This 90-minute show promises to plate up plenty of laughs as well as give you an opportunity to really test out your sleuthing skills as you try to figure out this twisted drama.

WHAT TO DO ...

Work together or individually to solve the case by interrogating the suspects, analyzing physical evidence (as it comes out), and observing the characters. All of our mysteries are family friendly 😃

The mystery lasts roughly 90-120 minutes from start - finish.

WHAT TO EXPECT…

Appetizers & Drinks will be served upon your arrival at 6:30pm. Please note alcoholic beverages are available for purchase - they are not included in your ticket price. During this time you'll also meet some of the characters you'll encounter in the mystery as a pre-show mingle. The scripted show will begin at 7:00pm. Soon after a dead body will appear and you'll meet your DETECTIVE who will explain the rules of the game and guidelines for the evening. After this briefing - DINNER WILL BE SERVED and your investigation will begin in earnest!

Please note the mystery happens in two distinct ways throughout the evening...

• SCRIPTED DIALOGUE - Where the story unfolds through interrogation of the suspects by Detective Gunn (your detective and host for the evening). During this part we kindly ask that you respect the people around you trying to hear the story and keep any conversation to a whisper. Any side conversations during these parts (especially from multiple tables) can overwhelm guests who are hard of hearing or trying to listen. This is also a time when important CLUES are discovered and talking during it may cause you to lose important information.
• IMPROVISED INTERROGATION This is a break from the scripted dialogue (when Detective Gunn leaves the playing area to find more evidence). During this time guests are encouraged to get up - look at the evidence on the evidence table, interrogate the actors themselves (this is the improvised part as the actors have no idea what you might ask them), use the facilities, get a drink at the bar (we’re funnier when you drink ;) or… take this time to talk to your companions and relax and take everything in. There are several of these small 3-5 minute opportunities throughout the evening - so if you don’t get a chance to talk to your favorite suspect during the first break - don’t worry - you’ll have plenty of opportunities throughout the evening. We ask that you do not touch the actors during your interrogation - if you wish to see some evidence you think they may be carrying or anything about their clothing or appearance you think might be a clue - you can ask them to show it to you and they’ll be more than happy to help you solve the crime! 🔍

At the end of the investigation Detective Gunn will give you a final 10 minutes you fill out your SOLUTION SHEET (where you’ve been gathering your notes throughout the evening) and turn it in for a chance to win one of three prizes for BEST DETECTIVE.
