Summertime is Time for Dinner Church!June 22, July 27, and August 24

It’s time for dinner… Dinner Church, that is! Westminster is once again stepping out boldly in faith and offering for ourselves—and especially for our neighbors—a new and different opportunity
for worship and service: Dinner Church.
In addition to Sunday morning service, every fourth Sunday during the summer, evening worship at the Cokesbury Campus takes place at 5:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.
The shape of Dinner Church worship differs from our traditional
service, but the purpose is still the same: to fulfill our call to be an
inclusive community of faith, abiding in God’s love, and
committed to enjoying God, following Jesus, and growing
disciples. This year, Dinner Church celebrates the imperative to
enjoy God through our theme: Eat, Play, Love!
Each Dinner Church event incorporates three elements to help participants “Make a Meal—Make a Friend—Make a Difference”:
Hands-On Group Activity, Dinner & Discussion, Worship. This year, each of the three worship stories focuses on the many ways we can enjoy God and all the fun and blessings creation provides to God’s beloved children:
- June 22: Let’s Play “God Says…” – Genesis 1:1-2:3
- July 27: May I have This Dance? – 2 Samuel 6:14-22
- August 24: Knock, Knock. Who’s There? – Matthew 7:7-11
