Michael Punke is celebrated for his powerful storytelling and deep knowledge of Western history. His works include:

Punke has appeared in major documentary projects such as Ken Burns’ The American Buffalo and Kevin Costner’s The West, bringing his historical insight to audiences nationwide.
Beyond writing, Punke’s distinguished public service career spans more than 30 years, including serving as U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (2010–2017). He has held senior roles with the U.S. Senate, the White House, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. He now serves as Vice President for Global Public Policy at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
A proud Wyoming native, Punke now lives in Montana with his family and is an avid outdoorsman.
