National program designed for adults with type 2 diabetes to teach skills needed to identify and understand how to manage this disease.About this Event
This event is a 4 part series every Wednesday on the follow dates. Please know when you sign up, you will signing up for Februrary 25th, March 4th, March 18th, and March 25th with a 3 month follow-up session on June 3rd, 2026.
Time: 6:00p-8:00p
Participants will learn:
- menu planning
- carbohydrate counting
- portion control
- label reading
- healthy fats
- importance of fiber in managing diabetes
Participants will discover healthy foods and receive recipes and handouts specific to each weekly topic.
This program is led by Registered DIetitians and trained University of Maryland Extension Educators in consultation with Registered Dietitians.
