Join us for an unforgettable evening as the SoCal Beep Baseball Association presents "Dining in the Dark," a unique fundraising event on October 4, 2025, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, located at 600 N. Garey Ave., Pomona, CA 91767.
This immersive experience will heighten your senses and offer a profound appreciation for the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments.
Event Highlights:
Welcome Reception (6:00 PM): Begin the evening by mingling with fellow guests over light refreshments. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about SCBBA's mission and connect with members of the community.
Brief Orientation (6:30 PM): Prior to the dining experience, attendees will receive a short orientation to familiarize themselves with the evening's proceedings and safety protocols.
Sensory Dining Experience (7:00 PM): Guests will enjoy a delectable three-course meal in complete darkness, allowing taste, smell, and touch to take center stage. Our visually impaired servers will guide you through this journey, ensuring a safe and enlightening experience.
Entertainment: The evening will feature live acoustic music and storytelling, enhancing the ambiance and engaging your heightened senses.
Candlelight Re-Entry and Q&A: After dining, guests will transition back to a softly lit environment, where they can participate in a Q&A session. This is an opportunity to learn more about the experiences of our visually impaired community and the mission of SCBBA.
Socialization: Conclude the evening by mingling with fellow attendees, sharing insights from the experience, and enjoying light refreshments.
