An Ichijū-sansai Experience at Time & Style Amsterdam
Join ceramic artist Kentarou Murayama and Chef Sota Atsumi of Restaurant MAISON (Paris) for an intimate dining experience celebrating the relationship between craftsmanship, food, and everyday life.
Inspired by the philosophy of ichijū-sansai—the Japanese tradition of “one soup and three dishes”—this special event reinterprets the harmony of a complete table through Chef Sota’s contemporary cuisine, served on Murayama’s handcrafted Karatsu pottery.
For Murayama, a vessel is only truly completed through use. Throughout the meal, guests will experience his pottery in its intended setting, discovering how food, touch, and time bring each piece to life. Following the dining experience, the pottery used during the meal will be carefully wrapped for each guest to take home.
