Dignity in Every Note - A Benefit Concert by the Vermont Cello Duet and The Intervale Center, benefiting Migrant Justice Vermont's Milk with Dignity Campaign.

Join us at the Intervale Center in Burlington, Vermont as we utilize music's capacity to transcend boundaries and unite us, bringing awareness and raising funds for the Milk with Dignity campaign. On this day, the Vermont Cello Duet will bring you musical performances highlighting multicultural pieces born in times of instability, symbolizing justice and solidarity. This concert will benefit and bring awareness to Migrant Justice Vermont's Milk with Dignity Campaign.

About the campaign:

Milk with Dignity is a groundbreaking, worker-led initiative by Migrant Justice, fighting to ensure dignified working and living conditions for dairy farmworkers. In 2014, workers conducted a comprehensive survey of nearly 200 Vermont dairy workers, revealing widespread labor abuses such as low or withheld wages, grueling hours, inadquate housing, and lack of safety protection. This led to the creation of a worker-authored Code of Conduct outlining basic human rights. Currently, a key focus is on Hannaford Supermarkets, whose dairy sourcing remains unaligned with Milk with Dignity standards.

Let's come together to show our support and raise awareness for Migrant Justice and the Milk with Dignity capaign, bringing fair wages and safe labor and living conditions for Vermont's farm workers.
