Exporting and importing can feel harder than it should be – more forms, more systems, more checks, more chance of delays. Join us for a practical, SME-friendly look at how the Digital Trade Testbed is helping businesses reduce admin, cut errors and move goods with more confidence.

We’re inviting businesses to our Demonstration Days to see, first-hand, how Teesside University and partners are building a new capability at Teesside International Airport to help companies trade internationally with less friction and lower risk. This work is being delivered with Tees Valley Combined Authority and Teesside Freeport, with support from the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology and iC4DTI.

The Digital Trade Testbed is a place where businesses can see and try new approaches to trade paperwork and processes in a low-risk way – before changing anything in day-to-day operations. It focuses on making trade processes more reliable, secure and interoperable (so you’re not locked into one platform).

• See real demonstrations of end-to-end trade, logistics and finance processes – showing how to reduce re-keying, improve document packs and avoid common errors that cause delays.
• Practical takeaways for SMEs: what “good” looks like, where time and cost is being lost today, and the first steps to make exporting/importing smoother without a big transformation project.
• Meet trusted partners and experts across trade, logistics, finance and government – and learn what support is available for Tees Valley businesses.
• Network with peers facing the same challenges, and explore opportunities to take part in pilots or follow-on sessions.
