Digital Detox for Earth Day Cambridge, MA

Let's show love & celebrate Earth Day by tossing our digital trash!

Digital files have cut down on paper waste, but . . . storing digital files consumes shocking amounts of energy and water. Let's take 40 minutes to collectively go through our files and apps and delete old ones. A detox.

We'll start with a secular meditation that guides us to connect with the Earth, and our relationship to it.

Then we'll set a timer, and each person will go throug their computer or phone, deleting bad photos, old emails, unused apps - whatever digital decluttering you need. You can turn on music, enjoy a beverage, and know that you're with a group of people doing the same thing.

Next we'll come back together to share any thoughts or feelings that came up during the detox, guestimate the amount of trash we collectively tossed, and enjoy another brief meditation.

Finally, we'll encourage each other to enjoy the rest of the day and Earth Day OUTSIDE.
