Step into the world of Irish mythology with unique digital illustration workshops delivered by Armagh-based author and digital artist Jonathan Hackett from Pixels & Possibilities.
On Saturday 14th February, we have a choice of two separate workshops:
10:00am-12:00pm - Celtic Creatures: Draw your own Mythical Beast
or
1:00pm-3:00pm - Hero & Warrior Character Design: From Ulster Myth to Concept Art
Each workshop blends storytelling with hands-on creative technology, allowing children and young people to explore iconic legends through modern digital tools. Using iPad Pros, Apple Pencils and Procreate, participants learn how to design characters, creatures, landscapes, and story scenes inspired by the myths connected to Navan Fort from the tales of Cú Chulainn and Macha to the spirits of the land.
With small group sizes and fully guided tuition, these workshops are perfect for beginners and budding young artists alike. Whether creating Celtic creatures, seasonal illustrations from the Wheel of the Year, or crafting environments from ancient Ulster, participants leave with digital artwork they can proudly take home or share.
