· Learn and use proven techniques to maintain and enhance the trails, focusing on safety, preservation and access

· Help Mount Diablo Trails Alliance build a sustainable Shared Stewardship model with California State Parks

· Registration is capped at 150 Volunteers

· This Dig Day is in the backcountry, requiring a minimum of 2.6-miles hike/shuttle ride from the Parking Area.

· Shuttle van service will be provided at Parking Area along Old Finley Rd for those looking to save energy or who do not plan to ride a bike to the work site.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

Shuttle Service:
Shuttle van service operating hours will be 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Running round trips from the Old Finley Rd. Parking Area.

Volunteers must provide proof of eventbrite registration prior to boarding shuttle.

Check-in Table at the Trail Head (2.6 Miles Hike/Shuttle Ride from the Parking Area):
Opens at 8:30AM

Early-bird arrivals (8:30AM to 9:30AM) can help with initial full bench cuts near the Trail Head staging area and then pause for Project Goals discussion at 10:00AM

Safety and Project Goals Discussions

`10:10AM - 10:15AM
Crew Assignments and Roll Out to Work Zones

10:15AM - 4:00PM
Conduct Trail Maintenance and Repair Work

Getting to the Parking Area
Drive to Old Finley Road off of Camino Tassajara.

Head past the old Tassajara School and look for Dig Day parking signs at pull-out (see Yellow highlight on eventbrite map screenshot), approximately 0.7 miles further up the road.

There is plenty of gravel-based shoulder parking along the road if the pull-out is full.

If you plan to take the free shuttle van service, please arrive early. Only two (2) shuttle vans will be operating.
