Peonies are treasures in the garden—but after many years of growth, they can be divided. Join us for a hands-on workshop where we’ll walk you through the process of digging and dividing mature peony plants. You’ll learn when and how to divide, how to prepare divisions for replanting, and the best ways to ensure they thrive for years to come.
Early September is the tail end of the division season here in Alaska, which makes this the perfect time to tuck your peonies in before winter. During class, you’ll not only gain confidence in handling these beloved perennials, but you’ll also take home divisions ready to plant in your own garden.
We’ve also prepared a step-by-step guide with tips on how to get your planting spot ready in advance—so you’ll have everything in place to welcome your new peonies home.
