About this Event
Step into a sacred space of remembrance and healing as we gather for a Día de Muertos cacao and sound healing ceremony. This day invites us to honor the ancestors, the loved ones who came before us, and the generations whose stories live within us. Through ritual, sound, and the heart-opening medicine of cacao, we create a bridge between worlds—offering gratitude, healing, and love to those who have passed.
The Spirit of Día de Muertos
Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is an ancient tradition rooted in pre-Hispanic and Mesoamerican cultures, later woven with Spanish influences. It is not a day of mourning, but a celebration of life and death as a sacred cycle. Families create ofrendas (altars) with flowers, candles, food, and offerings to welcome the souls of ancestors home. Through ritual, song, and remembrance, the veil between the seen and unseen grows thin, allowing us to commune with our lineage and honor the eternal bond of family and spirit.
The Medicine of Cacao
Cacao, known as the “Food of the Gods,” has been used in ceremony for thousands of years. Spiritually, cacao is a gentle heart opener, helping us connect with love, compassion, and forgiveness. It guides us into deep meditation, enhances creativity, and opens pathways to ancestral wisdom. Physically, cacao is rich in antioxidants, magnesium, and theobromine—supporting heart health, boosting mood, increasing circulation, and providing sustained energy. Together, cacao nourishes both body and spirit, grounding us in presence while uplifting the heart
Sound Healing & Ancestral Connection
Through the vibrations of crystal bowls, drums, chants, and ancestral soundscapes, we journey inward to release inherited patterns and offer healing to the generations before us. As we surrender to sound, we become vessels of remembrance—honoring the voices of our ancestors and sending blessings forward to future generations.
In This Sacred Space We Will:
- Share cacao in ceremonial prayer and intention
- Honor Día de Muertos traditions with remembrance and offerings
- Journey with sound healing to connect with our ancestors
- Release generational burdens and invite ancestral blessings
- Celebrate life, death, and renewal as a unified circle
This gathering is an invitation to come home to your roots, to honor those who walked before you, and to step into the power of ancestral healing. Please bring any pictures or memorable that you would like to to honor those who have passed.
