NSUMC Camp Launches Diaper Drive for Local Families
This summer, children at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church (NSUMC) are learning that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. As part of the church’s Compassion Day Camp, campers will lead a joyful mission project to collect diapers for families served by the Scottsdale Family Resource Center, located on the Paiute Head Start campus in South Scottsdale.
Each year, the camp highlights a hands-on service project that helps children put compassion into action. In 2026, the focus is on providing larger-size diapers (sizes 5, 6, and 7)—an everyday need that can be a real challenge for many families with young children.
The congregation and community are invited to join the effort. A special All-Church Donation Day will take place during VBS Celebration Sunday on June 28 at 10 a.m., where members can bring diapers to support the project.
The Scottsdale Family Resource Center offers vital resources, referrals, and educational programs that help families nurture the healthy growth and development of their children. By contributing diapers, donors help ensure that parents have the basic essentials they need to care for their little ones.
For those who prefer a simple option, supporters can also make a $20 donation, which allows the center to purchase the most-needed diaper sizes directly.

Through this project, campers learn that generosity and compassion go hand in hand—and that when a community comes together, it can help children and families thrive.
North Scottsdale United Methodist Church celebrates the love of God through Christ with a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service available both online and in person.
