I wanted to share an upcoming DBT Skills Group for Adolescents (ages 13–17) beginning , 2026, and March 11, running through October 18, 2026.If it’s helpful, I’m always happy to connect briefly to introduce myself, share more about our agency, and talk through whether this group (or individual services) might be a good fit for the families you serve. I’m available to meet by phone, video, or in person—whichever is easiest.
This is a skills-based group (not individual therapy) designed for teens who may be unsure about therapy but would benefit from structured support in managing emotions, stress, and relationships.
While the primary age range is 13–17, 12-year-olds may also be referred. Placement will be determined through a screening process to ensure appropriate developmental fit. If needed, groups may be structured or divided according to age and developmental level to best support participants.
Group Overview
• Weekly 75-minute sessions
• Open group format (consistent attendance strongly encouraged)
• Skills taught include:
– Mindfulness
– Emotional Regulation
– Distress Tolerance
– Interpersonal Effectiveness
– Walking the Middle Path
Facilitated by a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Payment Options
• Education School Vouchers accepted
• Most commercial insurance plans accepted
• Cash pay: $45 per session
This group is a strong fit for students who experience emotional dysregulation, feel overwhelmed, struggle interpersonally, or need practical coping skills in a structured, supportive environment.
