Join All Care’s free Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Group. DBT Group meets every Friday from 1-2pm. To participate to register/reserve your spot, please call our front desk at (712) 325-1990. Due to potential discussion topics, DBT group participants must be over 18.What is DBT?
1. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based approach to help you learn to cope with life stressors, emotions, and relationships. The skills taught focus on four categories:
2. Mindfulness: learning how to be present in the here and now
Distress tolerance: learning how to get through difficult times without making situations worse
Interpersonal effectiveness: improving how we communicate with others
3. Emotional regulation: how we can identify and better manage difficult emotions
When attending DBT Group, you can expect to learn and practice new skills through discussions, role plays, and media examples.
