Are you the one in three people suffering from prediabetes?? Are you worried about it getting worse and being diagnosed with diabetes. To help prevent that from happening, the NC Cooperative Extension Office, Person County Center is excited to announce that we want to start another Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) soon. We are having several Informational Sessions throughout May and June at the Person County Office Building. If you are interested in possibly participating in the next Diabetes Prevention Program, you will want to join one of these meetings. Attending an information session does not commit you to anything. They will be held on the Thursdays, May 14, 21 and June 4, 11, 18 from 12-1pm at the Cooperative Extension Office, located in Room 166 of the main county office building. The DPP program is not for anyone who has already been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. DPP focuses on anyone who might have pre- or borderline diabetes or who may be determined to be at-risk for diabetes (we can give you a simple risk test). Please join us.
