In Spain, Christmas gift-giving isn't done by Santa Claus on December 25, but by los Reyes Magos (the Three Kings/Wise Men) in early January. And in Austin, A'lante Flamenco is giving the gift of flamenco music and dance this January 2nd & 3rd! Come celebrate el Día de los Reyes with los Reyes del Flamenco (the Kings and Queens of Flamenco) in a special "in-the-round," intimate flamenco experience!Our gift to naughty and nice adults and children alike is the passion, rhythm and soul of flamenco! Enjoy it up-close and personal, sitting family-style, side-by-side with our performers, where you never know who's going to jump up to dance next! We'll even have a sing-along to a couple of the most popular villancicos--I'll print the lyrics in case you forgot them.
Featuring Guest Artist from Sevilla cantaor Guille Gonzalez, plus the fiery flamenco dance of Olivia Chacon and Sofia Hurtado and A'lante's formidable musicians, Jose Manuel Tejeda, Isai Chacon, Celia Corrales.
As always, Flamencura is BYOB, or enjoy my complimentary sangria (until it runs out). We'll also be serving Rosca de Reyes--if you get Baby Jesus you bring it next year!
