Dia De Los Muertos - Family History Day of The Dead
About this Event
We have a really fun family history activity planned!
We have several family history consultants who have volunteered to facilitate a couple of 'booths' for digitization of family photos, help with family history on your phone, and instruction for the church online platform.
We will have an Ofrenda set up and encourage all members to bring a family photo. We will hear a short lesson on this beautiful tradition from Sister Porter!
A pot luck meal and queso competition will follow - BRING YOUR BEST QUESO or be ready to eat some yummy food!
We will end the evening with a super fun family dance!
Other Activities included: so much fun!
- Soccer outside - Missionaries will be playing!
- Photo Booth
- Potentially** face painting - we still need volunteers to facilitate this.
- Memory app interviews
- Tissue paper flowers - Cempasúchil (marigolds - the traditional flower used to decorate ofrendas.)
If you have any questions or would like to help/contribute/facilitate an activity, please let the Primary Presidency know!
