About this Event
The Community Innovation Hub invites you to join us for the first of two gatherings honoring the traditions of Día de los Muertos. This special evening will focus on celebrating the lives of our beloved pets who have passed on, while learning about the cultural and historical roots of this meaningful holiday.
Create a Community Pet Ofrenda: Bring a photo, toy, collar, or other small memento of your cherished pet to contribute to our ofrenda. Together, we’ll build a collective space of remembrance, love, and gratitude for the joy animals bring into our lives.
Hands-On Crafting: Participants will also have the opportunity to create paper marigold flowers, one of the most recognizable symbols of Día de los Muertos. These flowers are believed to guide spirits back to the living world with their vibrant colors and scent.
Learn & Reflect: Throughout the evening, you’ll gain insight into the origins and traditions of Día de los Muertos, discovering how this holiday serves as a bridge between remembrance and celebration.
This event is free and open to all ages—a welcoming space to honor the past while creating together in community.
