Join Community Arts and Culture: The Inheritants Project for a celebration that reunites the living and dead, Dia de Los Muertos 2024 at The Doral Yard.
An evening of tradition and celebratory performance art and music and a sugar skull workshop for the whole family.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Calaveritas de Azucar | Sugar Skull Station Workshop
Calaveritas are decorated ofrendas in honor of a loved one who has passed. A Calaverita, or sugar skull, is a decorative skull made of sugar; Alfeñiques.
Families create ofrendas (Offerings) to honor their family members and friends who have passed. The offerings are believed to encourage visits from the land of the dead as the departed souls hear their prayers, smell their foods, and join in the celebration of their life.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
*THIS IS A FREE COMMUNTIY EVENT SPECIFIC TO YOUTH AND FAMILIES.
*THE SUGAR SKULL WORKSHOP with FACEPAINTING IS A SUGGESTIED $10 DONATION .
*THE DORAL YARD IS AN AFFORDABLE PATIO STYLE RESTAURANT, WITH SANTO DULCE CHURRO TRUCK JUST ADJACENT.
