On the night of December 7, Colombia’s windows, balconies, and sidewalks come alive in one of the country’s neatest traditions.
It is the Dia de las Velitas, literally the Little Candles Day in English. On the night of December 7, Colombians all around the country light candles in honor of the Virgin Mary and her Immaculate Conception symbolising personal wishes and gratitude. It is one of the neatest Colombian Christmas traditions.
To keep this tradition alive, we are inviting you and your family to join us on Saturday 7 December to celebrate Dia de las Velitas!
