Mark your calendars! Start forming community teams! The community boat racing portion of Festival will be on August 4 with practice weekend being July 20-21. We are also looking at having Competitive Dragon Boating teams’ 500 m races on Saturday Aug 3 — more on that soon.
So please start talking up the festival fun and finding folks that want to try dragon boating and compete for best racing time, best team costume, best team tent, and most funds raised. Team registration starts in April. Our 2024 festival pledge partner is Osher Integrative Oncology at UVM Cancer Center. Osher Integrative Oncology offers therapies that help relieve suffering, improve caregivers, and survivors. Stay tuned for more details (e.g., on timing) and announcements about raffles, entertainment, and other fun activities besides racing!
