Dezirae & Kara's Clothing Swap

Ladies! We are excited to invite you to our second clothing swap! the first one was so much fun, we hope you can join in! Come for food, fun, laughter, while swapping out pieces in your closet you no longer need/want and trade them for a fresh, new look-- all while not spending a dime! What a perfect way to refresh your wardrobe!

SCHEDULE/WHAT TO EXPECT
1:00pm - prompt arrival to set out items for swapping and enjoy food and drinks
1:30pm - styling advice with our featured stylist
1:45pm - swap 'til you drop!
3pm - not a hard stop but this is generally when swapping settles down, feel free to stay for more food, drinks, and conversations

Q: What can I bring?
A: Any items that can be worn on your body! Clothing (formal, casual, activewear, pajamas, maternity, etc.), shoes, hats, scarves, jewelry, bags, other accessories, nail polish, perfume, etc. Please bring items that you would want to receive. No stains, rips, holes, or smells. All seasons of clothing are welcome!
Q: How much can I bring?
A: As much as you want, within reason. If you show up with a Uhaul or shipping container full of bags, we'll give you an A for effort but make you pick only the ones you love. (This is also a good rule for clothing in your closet.)
Q: How does it work?
A: It is imperative you arrive promptly at 1:00pm to set out your items and enjoy appetizers and drinks before we start swapping at 1:45pm. If you are running behind or know you can't be there at 1:00pm, please text or call either Kara (360) 204-0430 or Dezirae (530) 510-2004. There will be racks and hangers to hang up clothing items plus lots of surfaces to lay out other things. After instructions are given, all participants will go “shopping” through the collective items.
Q: Why should I spend my precious time going to a clothing swap?
A: You will save money, conserve resources, find new-to-you items, get rid of items you don’t want or need, bless someone else with something they can use and love. Enjoying a cocktail while seeing old friends and meeting new ones isn't that bad either.
Q: What if I'm worried I won't be able to find anything that fits me or that I like?
A: There will be a large variety of items in different sizes and styles due to the number of women attending. Because clothing will not be the only category available, we believe every woman will walk away with items she can use and love.
Q: Can I invite friends?
A: Yes! You can invite up to 3 friends. The easiest way to invite friends is to send the Evite directly to them so we have an accurate guest count. Even if you can’t attend, your friends are welcome to join.
Q: What if I can't attend but have items I no longer want or need?
A: We are happy to take those items to be swapped! Please let Dezirae or Kara know and we can arrange to get them prior to the swap.
Q: Where does all the stuff go once the swap is over?
A: Anything left over at the swap will be donated. If you can recommend a specific organization that could benefit from donated women's clothing and accessories, do let us know.
