Celebrate spring’s sweetest harvest with Dewberry Picking at Millican Reserve!
Join us for a relaxing morning outdoors and enjoy the simple pleasure of gathering wild dewberries along the Prescott Trail and nearby open areas. This free, self-paced activity is open to all ages and provides a fun and rewarding way to connect with nature and experience the seasonal bounty of Millican Reserve.
Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the outdoors — closed-toed shoes, gloves, long sleeves, and a harvesting container (such as a small bucket, basket, or bag) are recommended. Dewberries grow along sunny trails and edges, so a little exploring will lead to delicious results!
This is a casual, open-format event with staff available to provide guidance and answer questions about foraging etiquette, plant identification, and sustainable harvesting.
Parking
Please use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve (19851 FM 2154). Designated parking is at the Basecamp grassy area. You MAY NOT PROCEED past the Farm area in your vehicle.
All outdoor events are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Registered attendees will be notified via email in the event of a cancellation.
