Who is Devin?
Devin Myles Lough passed away February 1,2026. He took his life and lost his battle to mental health. He was a visionary for Transformational Tones, attending our founder, KTs first event in 2018. He helped design the systems, events, and creative direction. He had a heart of gold and did everything for everyone around him. A little bit about Devin from his family:
As a toddler, he was bursting with energy. His family would often discover him and his twin sister scaling the tops of tall wardrobes or enthusiastically spooning peanut butter into the VCR. Together, they were a dynamic duo, true partners in crime, filling their days with imaginative mischief that drove their older sisters bananas. It was during these early years that an older sister affectionately dubbed them, “Thing 1 and Thing 2”, a teasing term of endearment that perfectly captured their bond.
One of their most memorable experiments involved “baking” duplo Lego pieces together in a toaster oven, a childhood act of curiosity and creativity that, miraculously, caused no harm, but left a lasting impression. That playful experimentation would later evolve into a genuine love for cooking, something he carried with him into adulthood. Not that he'd admit that if asked to cook something by a sibling. The twins could often be found using lawn furniture to create obstacle courses or racing each other to the top of the trees. They spent hours exploring the woods around their home and trying to catch lizards or other small critters.
An only son and the youngest for nearly ten years, he grew up surrounded by five sisters, including his twin, an upbringing that shaped his deep empathy, patience, and capacity for love. After a decade, a younger brother and sister joined the family, expanding the circle he already cherished. Growing up in a household full of siblings, creativity, and animals helped cultivate a compassionate heart and a natural instinct to care for others.
As he grew older, his boundless energy mellowed into a deep curiosity. He always wanted to be involved, eager to learn and understand how things worked. Creative play remained a constant, evolving into a passion for building, first with Lego creations in both physical and digital forms, and later through technical drawing and architecture. This love for design, structure, and problem-solving followed him into adulthood.
That foundation became his forever-heart mentality. He built his life with loyalty and devotion at its core, especially for his beloved partner and their five cherished fur children. His love for animals ran deep, nurtured by a childhood spent around pets of every variety and further shaped by time spent at an aunt’s exotic bird farm, where curiosity, gentleness, and respect for living creatures were essential. Animals trusted him, and he understood them instinctively.
His life reflected a rare balance of creativity, compassion, curiosity, and commitment, qualities shaped early, strengthened over time, and carried forward with intention and love.
