Developing your textile skills1st October- 29th October 2024

This course further introduces textiles techniques and processes used by textiles artists, designers and crafters, and is delivered as a series of workshops building up a range of samples that can be transformed into a final textile piece.
1. Fabric painting - experimenting with paint and water to create different effects on fabric - using stencils
2. Using felt making techniques - wet felt and needle felting to create a small bag/purse
3. Using linocut technique to create a repeat pattern block.
4. Printing a piece of fabric using your lino block and devising a pattern to make a bag/ skirt with the fabric
5. Surface pattern techniques - Using embroidery, applique, resist dyeing to decorate objects
