Great Idea Thanks! is a participatory session in which attendees are invited to share ideas they've been sitting on which they want to develop. This can be anything from ideas for creative projects, new frontiers in critical theory, an event or community activity—anything brand new and primordial.
The session works by everyone in turn having 5 minutes to present their idea, then the group engages in a facilitated discussion to ask questions, explore its boundaries and push it one step closer to becoming something real (or at the very least changing its shape).
Great Idea Thanks! aims to be a safe and welcoming space for budding projects, concepts and theories to take their first stumbling steps out of the shadows. We hope that by sharing and collaboratively discussing our baby ideas, we can help them grow into helpful, exciting, robust and energetic idea toddlers. May they one day blossom into full-blown adult ideas that can go off on their own and spawn multitudes of idea babies of their own!
