The retreat will be fully guided by Ven. Dr. Mahinda Thero from Jethavanarama Monastery. The venerable have been conducting many teaching activities such as residential and day retreats, seminars, workshops etc. across Australia and around the world (New Zealand, Singapore, UK, Italy, South Korea, Dubai, Israel).

Ven. Dr. Mahinda Thero:

Ven. Dr. Mahinda Thero is a former research scientist at the Australian National University (ANU), where he earned his PhD before dedicating his life to spiritual practice and service. As a higher-ordained monk, he has helped thousands overcome challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, and addiction through a compassionate blend of Buddhist wisdom and scientific insight.

He serves as a pro bono consultant for the Vimukthi Foundation in Sri Lanka—which runs rehabilitation, orphanage, and youth programs—and is the President of the Ministry of Nirvana Australia, a not-for-profit organisation promoting mental health and well-being. Ven. Mahinda Thero has led numerous retreats and workshops across Australia and worldwide, inspiring many to discover peace, clarity, and balance withinn.
