Following the upcoming release of "A Universe Bereaved" on July 9, Destruction Of The Healer return home to celebrate the album with its official Wollongong launch. Blending razor-sharp musicianship, crushing aggression and haunting atmosphere, the Wollongong five-piece channel the spirit of At The Gates, Cannibal Corpse, Dark Tranquillity and The Black Dahlia M**der into a relentless barrage of melodic death metal that is both brutal and emotionally devastating. Having earned a reputation for commanding performances across the East Coast, this hometown album launch is one not to miss.
Making their long-awaited New South Wales debuts are Perth/Illawarra death slam executioners Caro Tere. Delivering grotesque grooves, bone-crushing slams and obscene levels of brutality, the two-piece flesh peelers finally hit stages for a weekend of devastation, including their first-ever performance in Wollongong. If suffocating riffs, pulverising breakdowns and uncompromising violence are your poison, this is one set you will not want to miss.
Representing the local underground are Wollongong's own Nasty Insects, whose revolting fusion of filthy electro thrash metal crossover creates an unhinged swarm of distorted mutant mayhem.
Opening the carnage are Canberra death metal destroyers Rodenticide. Armed with savage riffs, blasting intensity and a relentless appetite for gore, the capital's brain blasters will kick the day into overdrive with a ferocious display of modern death metal violence.
