Support the DeSoto Texas Cultural Arts Foundation as we celebrate community, culture, and diversity. This is an open call for donations with no deadline.
Your support helps the Foundation continue bringing culturally diverse festivals and events to the City of DeSoto, along with expanded opportunities in art, dance, theatre, and music.
The foundation created the DeSoto Artists Lab to develope and mentor local artists and brings free arts enrichment to our residents. The program offers a stipend to artists who are selected to participate in the 10 month program. The foundation is able to fund this program for 6 artists but with your help that program could expand to 10 to 12 artists.
Together, we can keep the arts thriving and accessible to all.
Mission Statement for the DeSoto Artists Lab
Now in its fifth year, the DeSoto Artist Lab Residency Program is a collaborative initiative of the City of DeSoto, launched by the DeSoto Arts Commission in 2022 in accordance with the City Council-approved Cultural Arts Master Plan and in partnership with City Departments. The program brings artists, City staff, and community partners together to facilitate meaningful, community-centered residencies. Through diverse artistic disciplines and creative expression, the DeSoto Artist Lab builds community, celebrates cultural diversity, and reimagines how public spaces can inspire connection. By engaging children, teens, young adults, and seniors in inclusive artistic experiences across accessible spaces, the program nurtures creativity, civic pride, and shared joy-reminding us why there is So Much to Love in DeSoto.
