Join Senator Catelin Drey for a special reading of Sofia Valdez, Future Pres., the story of a determined young girl who sees a problem in her community—and decides to do something about it. Sofia reminds us that big ideas don’t come from having all the answers. They come from caring enough to try, even when it’s hard.After story time, it’s your turn.
Participants of all ages will roll up their sleeves and design their very own dream park using a wide variety of craft materials—think markers, building supplies, textures, and more. Whether it’s a park with treehouses and slides, quiet reading corners, or space for everyone to play, families will get to imagine what a better community space could look like—and bring it to life.
We’ll also have coloring sheets available!
This is a relaxed, welcoming event designed for families of all ages. Come ready to listen, laugh, and build something together, all while supporting Catelin's reelection to the Iowa Senate.
