Design Legend- A Conversation with Marian McEvoy

Join the ICAA NW for a conversation with one of the design worlds legends, Marian McEvoy. The formidable McEvoy was a fashion editor at Women’s Wear Daily and W in Paris for two decades. Returning to the US to become editor in chief of Elle Décor and then House Beautiful. Now in the second phase of her career as a decorative artisan, and textile designer, she has two new fabric collections with both Schumacher and Kerry Joyce. We’ll have a one-on-one Q & A discussion about what it was like in the heady fashion scene of Paris in the 70’s and 80’s, the changes in the interiors publishing world, gracious entertaining and interior design tips, and what is involved in creating a product or textile collection. We’ll reserve time at the end for questions from the audience.

Refreshments and light appetizers will be provided at a social hour following the event.
