Don’t miss the 2025 Design & Grow Gardening Workshop on Saturday, March 1st. From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the morning sessions will offer valuable insights for both novice and experienced gardeners. Topics will cover native plant design, floral arrangements, the latest resilient plant varieties, and strategies for planning food gardens during droughts. Attendees will leave with fresh ideas and inspiration for their gardens and landscapes. Early registration is just $10 through February 21st; after that, late registration will be available for $15.The afternoon sessions will offer additional hands-on workshops, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM, to boost your understanding and practical skills. These sessions are ideal for gardeners looking to deepen their skills in floral design, pest and disease identification, and garden tool care and maintenance. Space is limited, and separate registration is required for the afternoon workshops.
The Design & Grow Gardening Workshop will include the following hands-on workshops:
• Spring Floral Design – Discover the art and science of floral design while learning how to seamlessly bring your garden indoors. Take home your own beautiful arrangement!
• Pest and Disease Identification – Learn to identify garden pests and diseases using research-based tools, and take home the Tree and Shrub Problems of Kansas field guide!
• Garden Tool Maintenance – Learn proper care and maintenance of gardening tools. Bring your pruners from home for this workshop. Receive a complete tool sharpening kit for use at home!

The Design and Grow Gardening Workshop is sponsored by the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers. All proceeds support the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program, which focuses on community outreach and education related to gardening.
