DESI SINGLES MIXER IS BACK 💘
Back by popular demand! Because apparently dating apps still haven't figured it out.
It's been a minute.
After bringing together 50+ South Asian singles at our previous mixers, one of our most requested events is finally back.
So put down Hinge for one night and come meet some actual human beings.
Expect low-pressure mingling, comedian-hosted icebreakers, Desi stand-up comedy, and a room full of South Asian singles who are also wondering why dating in Toronto is this complicated.
No swiping. No algorithms. No carefully curated prompts about your "simple pleasures."
Just people meeting people IRL.
Meet. Mingle. Laugh. Maybe delete Hinge.
❤️ WHAT'S THE SCENE?
First things first:
This is NOT speed dating.
Nobody's ringing a bell every three minutes while you frantically decide whether you've found your soulmate.
It's a mixer.
Come in. Grab a drink. Meet people. Talk. Flirt. Make friends. See where the night goes.
And because walking into a room full of strangers can be mildly terrifying, our comedians will host icebreakers throughout the mixer to make meeting people considerably less awkward.
Then we'll all sit down for some live Desi stand-up comedy.
Because whether your dating life is going amazingly or terribly...
at least we can get some material out of it.
👀 YES, WE CARE ABOUT THE RATIO
One thing we've learned from hosting singles events:
The room matters.
We actively manage ticket availability to maintain a balanced gender ratio and create the best possible experience for everyone.
That means some ticket categories may sell out earlier than others.
It's intentional.
Because nobody wants to show up to a singles mixer and wonder where all the singles are.
🎤 COMEDY + SINGLES = DHAMA
It's not just a singles mixer.
You'll also get a lineup of Desi stand-up comedians talking about dating, relationships, families, culture and all the other reasons your therapist has job security.
Come for the mixer.
Stay for the comedy.

Or at least a new dating horror story.

We're promising a room full of people who were willing to get off the apps for one night and actually meet each other.
We think that's a pretty good start.
