In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own desert terrarium—complete with unique layers, decorative elements, and easy-care cactus and succulent varieties.

We’ll walk you through everything you need to know: how to choose the right plants, arrange your materials for healthy growth, and care for your new sun-loving friends at home. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity!

By the end, you’ll leave with a beautiful, custom-made desert terrarium that’s perfect for a sunny windowsill or gift-worthy for someone you love.

✨ Take home a terrarium you made yourself!

The workshop includes:

1. Hands on instruction while you build your terrarium
2. Your choice of two potted plants (succulents or cacti)
3. A glass container, and all materials needed to build your terrarium, and fun extras like stone, sand, figurines, & more

This workshop takes place at Urban Pothos in Raleigh Iron Works (1101 E Whitaker Mill Rd Suite 122 Raleigh NC 27604). There is a parking garage with 6 levels at the Forge apartments entrance, a gravel parking lot, and two additional small parking lots on the opposite side of the facility (all free parking).
We ask that all participants arrive prior to or at the start time listed to ensure everyone can follow along together. Anyone arriving 10 minutes past the start time will not be caught up.
