Derrick Dove and the Peacekeepers came out of the South Georgia pines around Tifton swinging a gritty, soulful brand of Southern blues rock. In January 2026 they took Memphis, winning the Band Championship at the 41st International Blues Challenge while frontman Derrick Dove walked away named Best Guitarist. Dove leads the group on guitar and lead vocals, backed by a seasoned band that turns originals like "Daddy Was a Blues Man" into full throttle live moments.
Their 2023 album "Rough Time" drew blues press notice and carried the single "When Did I Get Old" well past the club circuit. This is blues with dirt under its nails and a guitar set on fire, and it never lets up.
