Derby Print Open 2026
About this Event
Green Door Printmaking Studio is proud to present its annual Derby Print Open!
The Derby Print Open is an exhibition open to all, showcasing contemporary printmaking from artists based in the United Kingdom. Printmakers from all over the country submitted their work, with over 300 of those submissions being shortlisted for this year’s exhibition!
This year the exhibition will span across four separate venues;
- Banks Mill Studios, where Green Door Printmaking Studio is located on Bridge Street.
- Chapel Street Arts Centre, formerly the home of Déda, is Derby's vibrant new hub for music, dance, theatre, and workshops, located on Chapel Street.
- The Smallprint Company, Letterpress Print and Design located on Friary Street.
- Tubo Gift Shop, an award-winning indie shop in Derby, UK, celebrating handmade gifts, ethical design, and the work of UK and global artisans, located on Sadler Gate.
The culmination of these venues has once again re-imagined the original Print Trail from previous year’s Derby Print Opens, hoping to inform, inspire and invigorate Derby’s creative community and develop Derby’s cultural potential.
Prints are available for sale via the Derby Print Open website, both framed and unframed - where you can also purchase an A5 hard-backed catalogue featuring all prints exhibited in the Open. The Derby Print Open website also contains a detailed database of all artists participating this year, for those who wish to contact or follow on social media.
Awards have also been generously donated by businesses within the cultural and creative industry. Participating selected printmakers will be presented with awards, such as exhibition and residency opportunities, art materials and creative workshops
