Derby Music Industry Social - OCTOBER SOCIAL

Quarterly networking event for those working in the music industry.
About this Event

We are delighted to announce our fifth edition of Derby Music Industry Social will be on Tuesday 6th Oct from 7pm -10pm at the Café Bar at Chapel Street Arts (formerly DEDA) in Derby.

Yes, we do realise we've missed a month and this really should be taking place in September but Kristen is going to be in Nashville all month so we've pushed it back to October!

Derby Music Industry Social has been set up to enable those working in music who live within Derby and the surrounding areas, to get together on a regular basis throughout the year.

This is a "social" so we'd like it to stay informal, ie. a place to have a bevvie and chat, but we do also have some aims in terms of where we see it going, and what we'd like to do.

Our aims are:

to build community
to act as a meeting point for those looking to collaborate, either musically or in terms of organising events.
to share wider industry and regional news /opportunities. (Our future plans also include inviting industry folks along to do short talks that might be useful to our community)

The social is free to attend but advance registration is required to secure your place.

NB: This is a limited capacity event for music industry professionals only , so although we love and appreciate all you punters, gig attendees and general music lovers and supporters out there, we’d like to clarify this is NOT an event for the general public. Cheers 👍

ALSO - ONE TO GET IN YOUR DIARIES : our December event (CHRISTMAS SOCIAL) will take place w/c 7th Dec and............as it's Christmas we thought we'd make it a party and therefore there will be music! (More Details To Come).

This event is organised by Kristen Neilson (Silent Saloon Agency/Americana Music Association UK ) and James Thornhill (Psychic Dancehall Festival), and kindly hosted by the team at Chapel Street Arts.

NB. This is a not-for-profit event.
