The current location of the gaol was strategically chosen in Derby's "execution quarter." It was common for prisoners to face execution at the Gallows. Around 1752, when Derby Gaol was established, the law had implemented its most gruesome punishment. It was not uncommon for murderers to be sentenced to death by being "hung, drawn and quartered," a form of execution where the public could witness both the hanging and the dissection of the body. These were brutal times, and Derby Gaol would have been an extremely harrowing place to be.

As we navigate the dimly lit corridors and shadowy rooms, we will employ a variety of investigative techniques and state-of-the-art equipment designed to detect any paranormal activity that may be present. You will have the chance to witness firsthand the tools of the trade, including EMF meters, infrared cameras, and spirit boxes, all of which are instrumental in our quest to engage with the spirits residing within its confines. Traditional Victorian, and scientific experiments for you to try throughout the night (table tipping, Ouija Boards, Glass divination and Scribing)
Lone vigils in the dark for the bravest or experienced ghost hunters
Full hands-on use with the equipment
Refreshments (Includes hot and cold drinks and snacks)
A group discussion of findings at the end sharing experiences with those in other groups who may have missed the happenings you encountered
