🏇 Derby Day at Slipaway: Racing for a Cause! 🌹Swap the grandstands for the dockside! Join us at Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina for the high-stakes energy of Churchill Downs, served up waterfront style.
✨ Why We’re Racing
This year, we are proud to partner with Blessings in a Backpack SWFL. 100% of the proceeds from our Charity Wagering and Blind Draws stay right here in our community. Just $175 feeds a local child for an entire school year. This provides 152 meals to ensure no student in Lee County goes hungry over the weekend.
🏇 Event Highlights:
📺 Live Race Broadcast: Catch the main event under the Helm! (Music takes a brief intermission so we can hear the call to the post!)
🥃 Signature Spirits: $13 Buffalo Trace Mint Juleps (available in multiple flavors). Top-tier bourbon selections.
🌹 Charity Wagering: Back your favorite horse with a donation. Pick the winner and you could win two tickets to our 4th of July Bash! ($200 value).
🏇 Multi-Deck Blind Draw: High-speed random draws for Slipaway prize packs and local vendor vouchers.
👒 Best Dressed Contests: Shaun Miller hosts our search for the Most Creative Hat and Best Dressed Individual & Couple.
🎶 Live Music: Big Rob Deluxe (12:30 PM) followed by The Freecoasters (5:30 PM).
