Deraps is a Classic Rock-inspired band featuring Jacob Deraps on lead vocals and guitars, and Josh Gallagher on drums and co-lead vocals. Jacob hails from St-Georges de Beauce, Québec, Canada, while Josh comes from Perth, Australia. The two connected online through their Van Halen covers on YouTube, which sparked collaboration and eventually led to touring together in Québec.
After years of working together, Deraps released their self-titled debut album in 2022. In 2023, they embarked on their first major tour, playing some of Canada’s biggest venues and festivals and opening for iconic acts like Foreigner, Loverboy, Ann Wilson, Tom Cochrane, and Lee Aaron. The band also completed their first UK and Europe mini-tour that year.
On May 23, 2025, Deraps dropped their follow-up album, Viva Rock N’Roll, which debuted at #1 in the Hard Rock & Metal category on Amazon Japan during its first week. The album garnered strong global reviews, including a 7/10 rating from Classic Rock Magazine, one of the world’s leading rock
