Yes indeed, the annual Deptford Dub Club, Reggae Mini-Festival will at The Fox and Firkin on 21st June. This all day event, will begin outdoors, with a fully Family Friendly, long, afternoon, in the fabulous, extensive garden. Followed by Soundsystem style late evening session, inside. We’re thrilled to announce that this event will have 2 co-headliners. We're stoked that the legendary Jerry Dammers will be spinning for us during the early evening. The founder of The Specials and the 2 Tone Records label, Jerry's illustrious career, has included writing many great tunes, including "Ghost Town" and "Free Nelson Mandela". Always progressing, recent years have seen Jerry at the helm of the august Spacial A.K.A.. Mr Dammers promises a, “personal Revival selection.”
We’re thrilled that our headliner is the great Wassie One, who is a long-time stalwart of the London Roots Reggae scene. Wassie always plays up a storm. Whether in a full, traditional Soundsystem contexts, or in club environments, he can be relied upon to produce the goods every time. The mighty Wassie spins a rich and wide spectrum of music of Jamaican origin, from Ska and Rocksteady “Gram Favourites”, to the hardest Roots Reggae. He’s also consistently, highly, entertaining multi-talented performer; chatting ebulliently on the mic., whilst simultaneously spinnin’ da riddims. A unique, consummately skilled, reggaematic entertainer, you can check him out on a recent appearance:
or on Venture FM, or on his website:

Soft Wax and Duppy Sista Sound will also be spinnin’. Early in the afternoon in the garden we’ll commence with a warm up selection from Mr.Wax. He'll be followed by Duppy Sista Sound, she’ll be familiar to anybody that frequents the D.D.C. as she has been a regular since its inception. The vibrant Sista Jaz exudes positive vibes and can be relied upon to grace us with a scintillating Reggae Revive set, presented with style.
Following her there will be more of the semi-live action for which the Club is known. Soft Wax will be spinnin’ the rhythms. On the mic there will be singjay action, live and direct, from the mighty Doc Murdoc. There will also be live instrumentation from our fresh, new, Horn Section, featuring Tombone and Michael.
After Jerry we’ll be welcoming Drop da Biscuit. Mikey D.D.B. is another mainstay of the D.D.C. and is a familiar, much respected presence on the London Revive scene. He’ll be followed by the great Wassie One. There’ll be extra special guest vocalists, too. We’re also looking forward to another blinding session from the great Prince Fatty on the desk, throughout the event.
