DePauw Fall Choral Concert
About this Event
What happens when you stop hiding what makes you who you are?
No More Hiding brings together the voices of DePauw’s Chamber Singers, Vox Animae, and the Putnam County Festival Choir in a program about identity, growth, and the courage to be fully seen. Spanning musical traditions from Franz Schubert and Sulpitia Cesis to contemporary composers including Saunder Choi and Jake Runestad, the concert asks what changes when we stop concealing what makes us who we are. Highlights include the world premiere of DePauw senior Ty Wemhoff’s "The Chambered Nautilus," Bill Wieland’s Sanctus and Benedictus, honoring a longtime member of the choral community, and the combined-choirs' finale "No More Hiding" by Dr. Bryon Black II, the piece that gives the season its name and its most direct declaration: it’s time to stop hiding.
