Soaking up the Scene in Sonoma ValleyCost: $120
Sonoma Valley—just west of Napa—is the destination of Haggin Museum Department of Museum Travel's springtime mid-week motor coach tour. We journey first to the Luther Burbank Home and Gardens in Santa Rosa where we enjoy a docent-led tour of the plant pioneer’s home and research greenhouse, followed by a self-guided tour of the gardens, museum and gift shop.
Then, a short 10-minute drive brings us to our second Santa Rosa destination, the Charles M. Schulz Museum, which is dedicated to interpreting the life and art of the famous Peanuts comic strip creator. Step into a world of joy with Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang! Laugh at original Peanuts comic strips, watch documentaries and animated specials in the theater, draw your own cartoons, capture playful photo ops… there are surprises around every corner!
After the nostalgic visit to the land of Snoopy, we travel to Historic Sonoma Plaza, location of Sonoma State Historic Park. Savor free time to explore the last of the California missions to be built, sample local cuisine, relax in the park or peruse a variety of shops and galleries. Lunch is on your own, with options available at each stopover.
For more information or to register for the trip, please go to the Haggin website at https://hagginmuseum.org/events/dmt-good-grief-gardens-comics-and-early-california/
The deadline to register or cancel is April 29, 2026.
