Backdoors and Breaches: The Game

If you haven’t played it yet, Backdoors & Breaches Competitive is the all-new way to play the ultimate incident response card game designed by BHIS. Simulating real-world attack vectors, persistence mechanisms, and detection challenges, this fast-paced version of the game introduces brand new elements that are sure to shake up your strategy. Whether you are a SOC analyst, a developer, or a CISO, this is the most fun you can have while learning how to defend an enterprise.
No experience is necessary! We will have experts on hand to teach the game, facilitate rounds, and oƯer insight on all new strategies.

Speaker: Tim Doerges joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in June 2020 as an Intern, before going full-time in July 2024 as a Logistics Administrator/Product Developer. In this role, he helps manage various teams by assisting with project management, coordinating assistance with the conference AV teams, and most importantly, leading the development of the Backdoors & Breaches incident response card game.
Prior to joining BHIS, he attended Montana State University, where he managed a 200-person marching band for 3 years, as well as being acting president of the Beta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in his senior
year. He graduated in May 2024 with a BA in Music Technology. He says that the best part of working at BHIS is the people: “This place has some of the best coworkers anyone could ever wish for.” Outside of work, Tim enjoys composing music (including creating soundtracks and sound effects for video games), playing video games with friends, and
taking nature photography.
Speaker: Seth Benning joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in May 2025 as a Logistics Support Intern/Product Developer in addition to Wild West Hackin’ Fest (WWHF) Assistant Conference Director in November 2025. In these roles, he helps teams with event/project management, graphic design, working on the conference AV team, event and product photography, and the development of the Backdoors & Breaches incident response card game. Prior to joining BHIS, he attended University of Kentucky (Environmental Sciences/Business), University of Minnesota (Generals), and Minneapolis College where he studied Photography and Motion wrapping up his capstone in the Spring of 2025. He says
that the best part of working at BHIS is the people and room for career development. Outside of work, Seth enjoys Nature/Night Sky Photography, playing video games with friends, and playing basketball.
