Wayne Gono is a second-generation leader of Regal Plastics, a family-owned plastics distribution company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth region for more than 65 years. Over his four decades with the company, Wayne has become known as a visionary operator, a connector of people, and a champion of value-driven leadership. His career blends entrepreneurship, mentorship, and faith in a way that has shaped not only Regal Plastics but also countless business owners across Texas.
Born and raised in the Dallas area, Wayne married his high-school sweetheart, Patsy, whose father founded Regal Plastics. Wayne joined the business in the 1970s, learning the industry from the ground up before eventually stepping into leadership. Under his guidance, Regal Plastics expanded its footprint, modernized its operations, and strengthened its reputation as one of the region’s most trusted distributors of performance plastics. Wayne’s leadership style—rooted in humility, service, and relationship-building became a defining part of the company culture.
Today, he serves as the Visionary / Chief Networking Officer, where he focuses on strategic relationships, community engagement, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Known for his warmth, integrity, and unique ability to bring people together, Wayne remains a guiding force at Regal Plastics and a mentor to leaders seeking to build meaningful, sustainable businesses.
Beyond Regal Plastics, Wayne has devoted significant energy to executive development and peer advisory work. He is deeply involved with Renaissance Executive Forums and Business Owners Education, where he encourages CEOs and entrepreneurs to build purposeful, healthy organizations grounded in strong values. His passion for helping leaders grow has made him a respected voice in the Dallas business community. He has served on boards including the International Association of Plastics Distributors, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Dallas Bible Church, reflecting his belief that business success and community impact go hand in hand.
Today, Regal Plastics continues as a multigenerational enterprise, with Wayne and Patsy’s children, Chad and Amy, carrying the legacy forward.
